TOWER is a locally owned and managed New Zealand company with origins dating back to 1869 when the Government Life Insurance Office was created.  Today TOWER Limited comprises three businesses:

·         General Insurance - provideshome, contents, motor vehicle and travel insurance for the retail individual market in New Zealand and commercial insurance in the Pacific Islands.

·         Health & Life- provides health and life insurance products for the retail individual and groups markets; and

·         Investments- operating in the wholesale and retail funds management areas with $3.9 million funds under management. 

With a highly competent and professional New Zealand investment team, our investment solutions are designed specifically for New Zealand clients.  TOWER Investments has a fundamental belief that we manage domestic assets directly and sub contract top international investment managers for international asset exposure.  As a significant investor into these investment strategies, TOWER has highly correlated investment interests with our investor base.

TOWER was the first KiwiSaver provider to sign up to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI) in 2008. Signing the Principles means we have committed to observing a set of environmental, social and governance principles.

The TOWER KiwiSaver Scheme offers a range of investment funds managed by professional fund managers who invest in a variety of funds. Fund managers have the knowledge, expertise and market information to make informed and educated investment decisions. It is their role to seek to maximise the returns of each fund, within its investment guidelines.
