Taxman planning to rollout new credit-debit card over the phone payment service

The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) says it'll soon begin the formal process of hiring someone to provide it with a credit and debit card over the phone payment service.

IRD says on December 10 it'll issue a request for proposal for the provision of a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliant credit and debit card over the phone payment service.

The request for proposal will be issued via the Government Electronic Tenders Service, and be open until late January or early February next year, IRD says.
