A leasehold unit at Viaduct and a unit in the Quadrant Hotel attract competitive bids at City Sales auction
This leasehold apartment at Lighter Quay sold for $357,000.

There was a 50% clearance rate at this week's Auckland apartment auction held by City Sales.

A notable feature was the competitive bidding on a one bedroom, leasehold apartment at Viaduct Harbour which sold for more than double its 2008 purchase price.

The full results are below:

915/10 Waterloo Quadrant. The Quadrant building. A 41 sq m, two bedroom, corner apartment with car park. Vacant and fully furnished. Sold for $376,000. Rates were $1405 and the body corporate levies $5457 for the apartment and $1197 for the car park. According to QV.co.nz the unit previously sold for $330,000 in 2012 and $220,000 in 2010. The agent was Maryanne Wong.

505/43 Anzac Ave. The Cambridge building. An 18sq m furnished studio. Vacant but rent assessed at $260 - $300 a week. Passed in with a top bid of $121,000. Rates were $890 and the body corporate levy $3814. According to QV.co.nz the unit previously sold for $72,000 in 2009. The agent was Tony Kelly.

608/22 Nelson St. Heritage Hotel Tower. A 65sq m one bedroom, furnished apartment leased to the hotel. Passed in with a highest bid of $201,000. Rates were $3164 and the body corporate levy $8205. According to QV.co.nz the unit was previously sold for $245,000 in 2009 and $337,000 in 2005. The agent was Mike Campbell.

204/83 Halsey St. Stratis at Lighter Quay building. A 55sq m one bedroom, waterfront apartment overlooking Lighter Quay. Leasehold. Vacant. Sold under the hammer for $357,500. Rates were $2073 and body corporate levy $11,421, including ground rent. According to QV.co.nz the unit was previously sold for $170,000 in 2008. The agent was Gabrielle Hoffman.
