Harcourts' auction prices started at $393,000 in Auckland, $353,000 in Bay of Plenty and $226,500 in Christchurch

Prices at last week's Harcourts auctions ranged from $226,500 for a former childcare centre at Richmond in Christchurch that was sold on an "as is" basis, to $2.6 million for a house in the Auckland suburb of Parnell.

The most expensive home unit sold at auction was a two bedroom unit at Mission Bay in Auckland (pictured) which sold for $892,000.

The cheapest price achieved for an Auckland home was $393,000 for an apartment at Morningside, and the Bay of Plenty prices ranged from $353,000 for a home unit in Mt Maunganui to $805,000 for a house which was also in Mt Maunganui.
