Auckland prices started at $651,000 for an upstairs home unit at Bayleys' latest auctions, from $452,000 in Hamilton

The cheapest Auckland home auctioned by Bayleys in the last week was an upstairs, two bedroom home unit with a carport (pictured) that was one of a block of eight units in Mt Albert.

It went for $651,000.

The most expensive Auckland auction sale was a three bedroom apartment at Kohimarama that went for $2.295 million.

Down the line Bayleys Hamilton auction room has been busy with several residential and commercial property sales, with residential properties in Hamilton ranging in price from $452,000 to $770,000.and a large retail premises in Tokoroa selling for $1.44 million.

Waikato Times today predicting that it won't be long until Hamilton has it's first million dollar suburb.
The North East of Hamilton appears to be the lucky/unlucky area.

mangere will soon be a million dollar suburb, already costing 750k in the not so good parts. who would of thought for a big state and rental suburb

Mangere Bridge already is. The average sales price this year has bobbled between 850k and 1.2M depending on the month. Pretty much over a million for anything north or west of the mountain.

As you say, Mangere East and Mangere now selling loads of houses in the 700k region.

People have more money than sense. Or banks are so desperate to lend out money. Problem is people are desperate for housing, due to high immigration, due to poor migration policies.
