Alex, Now there is a suggestion

It got me THINKING.

Anyone who has worked in his own business, put his own income on the line and walked away with a substantial profit would understand what is required from all sides, monetarily.

For instance, All our leaders in Parliament have done just that, running this country, so my Apologies, select one of em Bernard and make em an offer they cannot refuse.

However, I doubt you could afford an MP, retired or not. A big drop in income and benefits.

Majority of em never earnt a significant bean ... honestly, in a prior business created by their own position in the RAT-RACE, so chose someone who has been a carter or something.

(No Honestly, you can check. their credentials and resume first.).

Though some apparently learn't quickly from others on their O.E.

But today, boy can some fill out an expenses form, so they should be OK with working
the systems you have put in place.

Don't know what hours you work, but they do some of their best work under urgency, when you can get them there, so that will not phase em.

A bit of Shift work, A half hour here and there will suffice. Give em long holidays.

Also, pick someone who has already got an office, they could lease back to you.

Might not achieve your goals, but that is par for the "field" in business these days, when you put your own money on the line...or is that page. Honestly, it can pay if you set up offshore as well.

Could end up with a holiday home, maybe Samoa for your retirement if you work it right.

Pay everyone else and at the end collect what's left...or is that WHAT is maybe LEFT in these precarious times.

Must be a Capital Gain in there somewhere though.

Remember "jobs for the boys"... Cos I seem to think that is the Objective once you have SERVED.

You must do your bit if you want to get knighted, or a high POST somewhere.

By the way BERNARD, welcome to the CLUB of on-line Businesses or for that matter any Business.

PS...If it fails, could always NATIONALISE it.

Agreed MAtt S. I believe the job description says "unwavering belief in orthodox monetarism essential", otherwise Iain P would bolt in.

I would apply, but I'd have to start being politically correct and balanced all over again .. I think I much prefer my new one sided cynical approach to life.
