A serious question. Do you expect any of the Aussie Parent Banks to sell the NZ arm ?
I think a small consolidation may be coming, don't know in what shape or when.
Banks here must be hurting with their costs and overheads with not much growth in business volumes, right ?
Any figures available on these ?

You mean the 4 banks which collectively make 5b+ in profit each year? Why would they be hurting?

Because the $5b a year "foreign student" industry is gone burgers, which is a shortfall the country will need to meet elsewhere.
