It was a a busy week in Harcourts' auction rooms around the country last week, with 172 homes marketed for sale by auction and sales being achieved on 101 of those, giving an overall clearance rate of 59%.
In Auckland 74 homes were marketed for auction and sales were achieved on 43 (58%). In the central North Island including Tauranga and Hamilton, 57 homes were marketed for auction and sales were achieved on 32 (56%). In Wellington 11 homes were marketed for auction and 7 (64%) were sold. And in the South Island 30 homes were marketed for sale by auction and 19 (63%) were sold.

Mastery, Wellington highest average and median wage in country above Auckland. Main IT hub of NZ eg Xero, Weta workshops, CricHQ etc. Can buy a 4 bedroom brick and tile house for less than replacement cost in decile 8 or above school zone. Lower crime rate than Auckland. Overall Wgtn would have the best fundamentals relative to present property price levels in the country.
