About the propertyLand Area: 195. ha
This 196 hectare dairy unit offers all the key ingredients that make for a consistent producer.
Positioned in an established and highly regarded farming district the property is situated between Te Awamutu and Otorohanga. For those recreation seekers, the nearby Waikato Hydro Lakes and Pureora Forest Park offer numerous opportunities.
The farm is milking 400 cows off an approximate 150 hectare dairy platform. The last three years average production is around 160,000 kg milk solids. All stock are wintered on.
The well located, 36 ASHB dairy shed features a large yard and in-shed meal feeders. Support buildings include a very good range of calf rearing and implement sheds.
Soil types are predominantly Maihiihi Ash and there is a history of recommended fertiliser applications being undertaken. The farm is well subdivided with good all weather access to the dairy platform. As a bonus, the farm has its own quarry for race material.
The 150 hectare dairy platform comprises approximately 90 hectares of flattish land and 60 hectares medium hill country. The drystock grazing land has medium to medium steep contour. A small plantation of pines (Circa 2014) makes best use of around half a hectare.
Fencing is a mix of permanent on the perimeter with the majority of the dairy platform being electric. There's a good water supply from three consented bores and the whole system has undergone a comprehensive upgrade. The regional council water consent allows for 426 cows.
Effluent disposal requirements are met by irrigating around 20 hectares of pasture pumped from the pond to hydrants then via a travelling irrigator.
Comfortable accommodation is provided by three large homes each with an open plan design and generous garaging. Having been built in 2010, the main dwelling offers all the features of a new home.
This farm has been a consistent producer; view now to appreciate fully the benefits.
