Housing report: Bank mortgage lending off peaks, but still firm

Bernard Hickey presents the latest housing report showing housing loan approvals over the last four years. The chart shows approvals down from their early 2007 peaks, but up off their late 2008 troughs as banks started lending again and home buyers jumped in after interest rates fell.
