First Facebook and now Trade Me.
Mobile friendly bank ASB announced that effective today its customers will be able to make direct payments to Trade Me sellers.
The upgraded app will allow users to log into Trade Me, select the item they want to pay for and then nominate one of their ASB account from which to make the payment. The seller is then notified by email about how to collect their payment.
“Functionality to pay for Trade Me 'won' items is now integrated seamlessly into the ASB Mobile app," said ASB's general manager for brand experience and digital channels, Anna Curzon.
"Trade Me has transformed the way Kiwis buy and sell online and the ability to pay Trade Me sellers directly without exchanging bank account numbers is a further way we have evolved our ASB Mobile app to make life easier for ASB customers.''
The latest upgrade to ASB's mobile app will also allow users to check the balances on their KiwiSaver account (if held with ASB). Mobile customers will also be able to add three accounts to the quick balance feature which shows the latest balance.
