Trade prices, services

Select chart tabs

This quarterly series tracks the prices New Zealand exporters and importers get or pay in international trade service transactions.

The relative position between these two measures determines the "terms of trade".

If we get better prices for our exported services than we need to pay for our imported services, then our terms of trade are improving. But if we need to pay relatively more for our imports than we get for our exports, then the terms of trade are moving against us.
