This series records the volume of farm sales, based on the monthly REINZ data. It excludes the sale of life-style blocks, and similar hobby farms.
Included are dairy farms, arable farms, grazing farms, finishing farms, horticulture farms, and high-country runs. Forestry farms are also included.
We do not chart the "average value" of these sales, as price is influenced by too many disparate factors to make the data meaningful.
