Description |
Mighty River Power is an integrated energy generation, trading, retailing and metering business. We own and/or operate a diverse and expanding portfolio of generation assets throughout the North Island. Our generation portfolio is more than 90 percent renewable. It includes the Waikato Hydro System, with nine power stations along the Waikato River; geothermal plants within the Taupo and Bay of Plenty regions; the Southdown gas-fired station; and an active wind development programme. Mighty River Power sells electricity and gas to more than 400,000 customers through our retail businesses Mercury Energy, Bosco and Tiny Mighty Power. Mighty River Power's metering business Metrix provides meters and meter-reading services to residential and commercial customers across Auckland, and to other electricity retailers. |
