Only one of four apartments at this week's Ray White City Apartments auction found a new owner
This apartment in the City Life building was passed in at $330,000.

Only one of the four Auckland apartments on offer was sold under the hammer at this week's Ray White City Apartments auction.

The apartments on offer were a mix of smaller investment properties and larger units which would likely appeal to owner-occupiers, a segment of the market that has been attracting strong buyer interest recently.

The apartment that sold was a studio in the Heritage Hotel complex, with two much larger apartments and a student shoebox being passed in.

The full results are below:

610/35 Hobson St. The Heritage Hotel. A 34sq m studio managed as part of the hotel pool. Sold for $137,500. A previous sales history of the unit was not available but it sold at a substantial discount to its a rating valuation of $175,000. The agents were Damian Piggin and Daniel Horrobin.

1606/171 Queen St. City Life building. A 63sq m one bedroom apartment rented at $490 a week and offered for sale fully furnished. It was passed in with a highest bid of $330,000. According to QV.co.nz the unit was last sold for $310,000 in 2007. The agent was Dusan Valenta.

8L/13 Mount St. The Oxford building. A vacant one bedroom shoebox. There were no bids on the property and it was passed in. According to QV.co.nz the apartment was sold in November last year for $175,000. The agent was Ricky Yang.

10c/205 Hobson St. Hobson Gardens building. A house-sized 163sq m, three bedroom, two bathroom apartment offered with vacant possession.The auctioneer opened the bidding with a vendor bid of $650,000 and although there were believed to be several interested parties in the room, none was prepared to put their hand up and it was passed in for sale by negotiation. According to QV.co.nz the apartment was last sold in 2003 for $415,000. The agent was Victor Liu.
