Notice a lot of positive news in NZ recently:
1. Housing market getting better
2. GDP positive
3. Out of recession
4. Fonterra reports improving dairy prices
5. Business confidence improved
6. Car sales improving
7. Even the NZD is stronger (good for some, bad for others I suppose)

agree, I was asked recently at an auction if I am a businesswomen, because I bought some gold items. I denied and tried to explain, I just wanted to put some of my savings in a more secure position because of the financial debt position, doomed to fail, all over the world, particularly in the US. I pointed out also the unservicable debt in godzown. The nice couple, obviously quite well off and not uneducated, was flabbergasted........did not hear much about it, "but we are in NZ, nothing can happen here...."

Lets hope the bus strike goes on and on, saving us (Auckand ratepayers) 166K a day in subsidies for an 'efficient' transport system, has anyone with half a brain ever considered that an efficient transport system would not require subsidies in addition to exorbitant fares.
