Mt Wellington home unit fetches $410k and two bedroom Mt Eden border cottage goes for $1.32m at latest Bayleys auctions
This two bedroom cottage near the Balmoral shops sold for $1.32 million at Bayleys' latest auction.

Prices at Bayleys latest round of Auckland residential property auctions ranged from $410,000 for a classic two bedroom, "clean and tidy" upstairs home unit with a carport in Mt Wellington, to $2.315 million for a fully renovated four bedroom villa in Freemans Bay.

Other highlights were a classic two bedroom cottage  at the Balmoral end of Mt Eden which fetched $1.32 million, an extensively renovated villa in Sandringham which went for $1.7 million and a two bedroom character apartment in the St James apartment building opposite the Auckland Art Gallery, which sold for $495,000.

The Mt Eden cottage that sold for $1.32 million was located on Mewburn Ave which runs off Balmoral Rd, not far from the Balmoral shops. It was on a 526 square metre section and came with all of its original features, complete with timber joinery and classic floral carpet in the lounge.

The Sandringham villa that sold for $1.7 million was located in Burnley Tce which runs off Sandringham Rd, a couple of streets down from Eden Park and within walking distance of the Kingsland train station and cafe strip.

Other sales from the same auctions included homes in Cockle Bay ($1.345 million), Botany Downs ($770,000), Birkdale ($656,000), Milford ($1.642 million), Onehunga ($980,000), Waimauku ($900,000), West Harbour ($1.6 million), St Mary's Bay ($1.275 million), Orewa ($1.063 million), Tindalls Beach ($605,000) and Glendowie ($1.575 million).
