Prices ranged from $2.88m in Mission Bay to $159,000 in New Brighton at last week's Harcourts auctions

Harcourts auction results from last week include six properties at Henderson Heights in west Auckland, only two of which sold for less than $800,000 and the most expensive, a brick and tile house (pictured), sold prior to auction for $897,000.

According to QV.co.nz the same property was last sold for $600,000 in 2010.

Also in Auckland, Harcourts sold homes in Kohimarama and Mission Bay for well above $2.5 million, while for those on a more modest budget a three bedroom townhouse in Mangere fetched $390,000.

In the Bay of Plenty prices ranged from $291,000 to $1.05 million, and in the Waikato prices were in the $370,000 to $740,000 range and a Hastings house went for $423,500.

In Christchurch prices ranged from $159,000 for a house in North New Brighton to $1.205 million for an Avonhead property.

That 'New Brighton' unit for $159K is in Bower Ave, right opposite QEII park - badly hit by liquefaction, TC2 land most likely. Better described as North Beach/Parklands.
