An ex-State house (pictured) on the Three Kings/Mt Roskill border sold for $1.17 million at Harcourts auctions last week.
The 1940s-era weatherboard home had three bedrooms (two double and one single) and was on a 706 square metre section.
It had been renovated over the last few years and had French doors opening to a rear deck.
It's rating valuation was $710,000.
According to QV.co.nz the house had been purchased for $542,000 in 2011.
The cheapest house sold at Harcourts' Auckland auctions last week was a three bedroom house in Papatoetoe that went for $540,000, and the most expensive was four bedroom house at Bucklands Beach that sold for $2.02 million.
Down the line prices started at $321,000 for a home unit in Hamilton and prices ranged $225,000 to $1.26 million in the Bay of Plenty.
There were several auction sales on the Kapiti Coast where prices started at $228,000 and in the South Island prices started at $288,000 for a refurbished home unit at Linwood in Christchurch.
