It was another busy week in Harcourts' auction rooms around the country last week, with 157 homes marketed for sale by auction, one property withdrawn from sale, 100 being sold and 56 passed in, giving a clearance rate of 64%.
In Auckland the cheapest property sold was was a three bedroom brick and tile house at Tuakau on the southern outskirts of the city, which sold for $407,000, while the most expensive was a house in East Tamaki Heights that fetched $2.235 million.
Around the rest of the country the cheapest home that was auctioned in Tauranga was a house in Papamoa that went for $363,000, while in Hamilton auction prices started at $240,000. In Hawkes Bay they started at $200,000, in Wellington the cheapest sale was $427,000 and in Christchurch auction prices ranged from $247,000 to $1.16 million.
