Kiwibank/NZ Post's 'economically prudent' retail transformation project seeks 'revenue uplift'

The New Zealand Post/Kiwibank branches on Auckland's North Shore are the latest to get a spruce up as part of a "retail transformation project" costing tens of millions of dollars.

Following the trial of a "central branch format" on the Kapiti Coast during 2011, eight North Shore branches are now being revamped. A NZ Post spokesman told interest.co.nz lessons learnt from the Kapiti project are helping shape the new look North Shore branches and results from there will then help drive the next steps.

"We are using the North Shore changes to help inform what we do through the rest of our network," the spokesman said. "Obviously the changes need not only to be better for our customers, but to be economically prudent, reflecting uplift in revenue."
