At Bayleys' latest auctions you could have bought a three bedroom house at Matamata for $530,000 or a two bedroom unit at Howick for $740,000

House prices ranged from $685,000 for a three bedroom brick and tile house at Pukekohe to $2.57 million for a house at Bucklands Beach, at Bayleys latest Auckland auctions.

Other notable results were a two bedroom home unit at Howick that fetched $740,000, and another two bedroom unit in Mt Albert that sold for $790,000.

Over on the North Shore a three bedroom house described as "ideal for first home buyers or investors" went for $754,000.

Things were a but cheaper at the Waikato auctions, with prices starting at $530,000 for a modern three bedroom house at Matamata, or you could have picked up a three bedroom bungalow in Cambridge for $712,000.
