Results from Barfoot & Thompson's auctions at Manukau, the North Shore and Auckland CBD

The clearance rates at Barfoot & Thompson's major residential property auctions last week ranged from 55% at their CBD auction on Friday, where 12 of the 22 properties offered were sold under the hammer, to 33% at the auction at the Bruce Mason Centre on the North Shore, where a third of the properties offered sold under the hammer.

There are still a few properties selling for under $500,000 in Auckland, with several at the Manukau auction going for less than half a million, including a two bedroom home in Manurewa, a couple of others in Papatoetoe and one in Otara.

Elsewhere a do up (or redevelopment prospect) on a large section in Remuera fetched $4.5 million, a three bedroom house in Mt Wellington went for $850,000, several one bedroom units in Mt Eden achieved prices in the mid-$500,000s and a three bedroom house at Sunnynook on the North Shore went for $795,000.

You can see the prices achieved on the properties that sold under the hammer and the details of those that were passed in for sale by negotiation on our Auction/Sales Results page.
