Westpac digital chief Simon Pomeroy on the bank's plans for wearable technology, biometrics, and big data

Westpac has confidence in its push into wearable technology because tech titans such as Google are pouring a lot of time and investment into the likes of smartwatches and Google Glass, says the bank's chief digital officer Simon Pomeroy.

Pomeroy also told interest.co.nz in a Double Shot interview Westpac is looking to use biometrics for purposes beyond security as it seeks faster and easier ways for customers to bank.
