ANZ expects more strikes as First Union dispute continues, but says union doesn't even have the support of the majority of its own members

ANZ expects further strikes from First Union affiliated staff as an industrial relations dispute between the bank and union rumbles on, but says any strikes won't impact customers and First Union's campaign doesn't even have the backing of the majority of its own members.

The dispute between ANZ and the bank workers' union has been simmering since September when collective employment agreement negotiations broke down. Following a series of strikes, mediation has been held, but no resolution to the dispute has yet been reached.
