Birth and death rate
Data is as published by Statistics NZ quarterly.
The "birth rate" is live births per 1,000 mean estimated resident population.
The "death rate" is deaths per 1,000 mean estimated resident population.
Note that we have had to change the data to "year ended, each quarter" as Statistics NZ no longer make the "quarter only" data available.

How come all the Y axis
How come all the Y axis calibrations are "0.01". How are we supposed to interpret the figures? Nice pictures,I suppose.
The future for Kiwiland
The future for Kiwiland will be great, I'm not joking..Forget all the Doom and Gloom,because what"s coming outside our borders will make Kiwiland the most desirable place on Earth to live.The world scene has been to cushy for to long and all the indicators point to a major shake up during the first three months of 2011.Remember "It's an ill wind that blows nobody any good".

Why are there consistently more deaths in October, is this anomaly caused by how the data is captured?
