International report on retail banking innovation highlights big data opportunities

Banks are highly focused on innovating in mobile banking but may not be doing enough to innovate with big data and analytics, a major international report on innovation in retail banking suggests.

The sixth annual Innovation in Retail Banking report by Efma and Infosys Finacle makes no mention of any New Zealand banks. Last year's report highlighted Kiwibank as an innovator.
