Here are the key things you need to know about in the NZX markets over the past 24 hours. Changes are as at 3:00 pm and may change when the market closes at 4:45 pm.

WHAT THE NZX 50 INDEX IS DOING
The NZX50 is ending its Friday up a modest +0.2%, That means it it will have slipped -1.0% over the past five days. The index remains up +2.6% over the past six months and up +4.7% year-on-year. Market results were mixed, with 46 gainers and 34 decliners recorded.

THE MAIN GAINERS
Among the gainers, Kathmandu Brands (KMD, #50) led with a +4% rise, though the stock remains down -11% for the month and -57% year-on-year. Summerset Group (SUM, #17) lifted +3% this week, though still down -11% over six months. Gentrack (GTK, #28) also advanced +3%, adding to a +6% year-on-year gain. Port of Tauranga (POT, #11) rose +2% and is now up +27% year-on-year.

THE MAIN DECLINERS
On the downside, Serko (SKO, #49) dropped -4%, extending monthly losses to -18% and a -25% fall year-on-year. Briscoe Group (BGP, #24) fell -3% this week but remains up +27% over the year. Vulcan Steel (VSL, #31) eased -1% and is flat year-on-year, while Air New Zealand (AIR, #21) slipped -1% but remains up +5% on an annual basis.

KEY ANNOUNCEMENTS
Port of Tauranga (POT, #11) reported strong FY25 results, despite capacity constraints. Total trade rose +7% to 25.3 million tonnes, with container volumes up +5.3% to 1.2 million TEUs. Underlying NPAT was $126.0 mln (+23%), while reported NPAT reached $173.4 mln (+91%, including a 49.2 mln one-off gain from the Marsden Maritime Holdings acquisition). Revenue increased +11.3% to 464.7 mln and EBITDA grew +15.1% to 234.5 mln. Imports rose +13.9% to 8.9 million tonnes, exports +3.6% to 16.4 million tonnes, and ship visits reached 1,442 (+15). The final dividend was 9.7 cents (+11.5%), total FY25 dividend 16.7 cents (+13.6%). Cargo highlights included refrigerated containers +19.8% to 245,151 TEUs, kiwifruit +30.9%, dairy +2.1% to 2.1 million tonnes, meat +9.6% to 0.8 million tonnes, while logs fell -5.9% to 6.3 million tonnes. Congestion and limited berth capacity affected productivity and emissions rose +20% to 21,873 tonnes CO2e. Key investments included a new gantry crane, stage two dredging, electric straddle carrier trials, and a hybrid tug boat. The Marsden Maritime Holdings acquisition consolidated Northport and adjacent land under Northport Group Limited. FY26 guidance will be provided at the Annual Meeting on 31 October.

The Corporate Governance Statement and Board Skills Matrix, both dated 19 August 2025, are available via the Investor Centre on the company website. The 2025 Remuneration Report will be released to NZX and ASX and published online ahead of the Notice of Annual Shareholders’ Meeting, expected by 19 September 2025. FY25 Climate Statements will be announced to NZX and ASX and made available via the Investor Centre prior to 31 October 2025. Fletcher Building, listed on the ASX under a Foreign Exempt Listing, confirms ongoing compliance with NZX Listing Rules.
