Description of trading activities
The a2 Milk Company is a dairy company that commercialises intellectual property relating to a2 Milk brand milk and related products. The company focuses on milk that naturally contains only the A2 type of beta-casein protein, rather than the A1 protein type common in most cow's milk.
CEO profile
David Bortolussi was appointed CEO of the a2 Milk Company on the 8th of February 2021. Bortolussi holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne. Prior to joining a2 milk, Bortolussi was Group President of International Innerwear, HanesBrands. Bortolussi was also Chief Financial and Operating Officer of Pacific Brands in 2009, before becoming CEO in 2014. Bortolussi's roles have focused on the consumer and retail sectors of Australasia.
