Description of trading activities
Contact Energy Limited is a New Zealand electricity generator, natural gas wholesaler and electricity, natural gas, broadband and LPG retailer.
CEO profile
Mike Fuge was appointed as CEO of CEN in September 2019, starting the role in February 2020. Prior to joining CEN, Fuge was the Chief Executive of Refining NZ holding vast experience in the energy sector both in New Zealand, and globally. Internationally Fuge was the Chief executive of global renewable energy company Pacific Hydro, locally he held senior roles at Genesis Energy, and Royal Dutch Shell Group.
Chairman profile
Rob MacDonald was appointed director in November 2015. MacDonald's finance career spans over 30 years, joining Coopers and Lybrand in the corporate advisory and valuations in 1985. Whilst being Chair of CEN, MacDonald is also current board member of Fletcher Building, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand Inc and AIA limited. MacDonal holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland. In 1999, he completed the Management Development programme at Harvard business school.
