Description of trading activities
Summerset has grown to become one of New Zealand's largest and most respected operators in the retirement and care sector. They have 29 retirement villages around the country, with more than 6,000 people in these homes.
CEO profile
Scott became the CEO of Summerset Group in later 2021. Prior to this he was the company's Chief Financial Officer since 2014. Before joining Summerset, Scott held CFO roles at both Housing New Zealand and Inland Revenue. He holds a number of awards, one of such is the CFO of the Year in 2019.
Chairman profile
Mark Verbiest is a lawyer with many years of experience in private practice as a partner of a large national law firm. He then moved onto an executive role with Telecom New Zealand. As of now, he is Chair of Meridian Energy and Freightways. He was previously the Chair of Spark, Transpower NZ and other companies.
