Prices of commercial properties range from $890,000 to $3.65 million at Colliers auction

The yields on commercial properties recently sold at auction by Colliers International ranged from 5.3% for a retail premises at Millwater near Silverdale in the north of Auckland, to 6.5% on a large industrial property in East Tamaki.

Other sales included a cafe with a flat above it (both vacant), in an older building at the Mt Roskill end of Dominion Road that sold for $890,000, and a mix of retail, office and industrial buildings located form Whangarei to Palmerston North.

• 119 Port Rd, Whangarei. A 1094 square metre industrial building on a 4047 square metre site. Sold for $2.55 million. The agents were Jimmy O'Brien of Colliers and Pete Peters of Harcourts.
• 7/42 Ormiston Rd, East Tamaki. A 590 square metre office building. Sold for $1.8 million. The agents were Jolyon Thomson and Andrew Hooper.
• 1/40 Cavendish Drive, Manukau. A 420 square metre retail premises occupied by Bike barn. Sold for $1.755 million at a yield of 5.69%. The agents were Peter Kermode, Adam White and Matt Prentice.
• 35 Poturi St, Tauranga. An 1100 square metre office/warehouse on a 2721 square metre site. Sold for $1.57 million. The agents were Simon Clark and Rob Schoeser.
• 411-415 Victoria St, Hamilton. A 280 square metre, newly refurbished  retail premises on a 334 square metre site. Sold for $1.86 million, at a yield of 6.23%. The agents were Mark Brunton and Justin Oliver.
• 34A & 34B Portage Rd, New Lynn, Auckland. Two adjacent sites with a building area of 3153 square metres. Sold for $2.4 million at a yield of 7.8%. The agents were Dhiru Patel and Chris Upright.
• 427 Rangitikei St, Palmerston North. A 1930 square metre warehouse on a 5071 square metre site, Sold for $1.45 million at a yield of 8.44%. The agents were Grant Lloyd, Doug Russell and Phil Nevill.
