Westpac says use of smart analytics through online services helping create "branch type online experience" for customers

Westpac has been using so-called smart analytics via its internet services for the past few months as it strives to create a "branch type online experience" for customers, its chief digital officer Simon Pomeroy says, and is developing biometrics finger print and voice recognition technology for mobile services.

Pomeroy also says Westpac is ahead of its "quite high expectations" for revenue from its online banking services.
