Michael Bullock succeeding Craig Sims as ANZ NZ's chief operating officer

ANZ Bank NZ has named Michael Bullock as its chief operating officer.

Bullock replaces Craig Sims who is shifting to Melbourne to take up an ANZ Group role as chief operating officer of ANZ's enterprise services, which supports the finance, risk, human resources operations and other functions. Sims oversaw the successful merging of the ANZ and National Bank IT platforms and culling of the National Bank brand in 2012.

Bullock steps up from his current role as ANZ NZ's general manager for institutional and commercial operations from March 2, subject to Reserve Bank approval.

"Mr Bullock brings to the role more than 23 years’ experience in the finance and banking sector in senior operational positions. Prior to joining ANZ he was with Citigroup for 14 years where he held a number of roles in the Global Corporate and Investment Bank across various geographies and business sectors," ANZ NZ said in a statement.
