WHAT THE NZX 50 INDEX IS DOING
The NZX50 opens the week with a modest +0.2% gain, lifting +0.5% over five days and +4.9% year-on-year.
THE MAIN GAINERS
Among the 40 gainers, Gentrack (GTK, #33) led with a +2% rise, though it remains down -4% over five days, -21% in six months, and -10% year-on-year. Napier Port (NPH, #38), SkyCity (SKC, #36), and Contact Energy (CEN, #6) each added +1%. Napier Port is up +3% over five days, +7% for the month, and +49% year-on-year. SkyCity has gained +9% this month but is still down -44% annually, while Contact is up +5% for the month and +10% year-on-year.

THE MAIN DECLINERS
Of 41 decliners in the market, Vista Group (VGL, #40) fell the most, down -2%, extending an -8% monthly decline and -7% annual drop. Fletcher Building (FBU, #14), Goodman Property Trust (GMT, #15), and Heartland Group (HGH, #32) each eased -1%. Fletcher is still up +2% over five days and +3% year-on-year. Goodman has gained +15% in six months and +1% annually, while Heartland is up +39% in six months and +4% year-on-year.

KEY ANNOUNCEMENTS
Gentrack Group (GTK, #33) will release its full-year results for the 12 months to the 30th of September on Monday, the 24th of November. An investor briefing webcast is currently scheduled for 10:30am with further details to be provided in due course.
EBOS Group (EBO, #9) has opened its new Symbion pharmacy wholesale distribution centre at Kemps Creek, Western Sydney. The 56,000sqm site, part of the Group’s $360mln four year renewal programme, is one of Australia’s most advanced and automated pharmacy distribution centres, now servicing around 1,500 NSW customers. The facility includes a 1.75MW rooftop solar array, bio-diesel generators, and battery storage, supporting EBOS’s renewable energy goals. With two sites left to complete, EBOS expects annual capital expenditure to fall by ~30% from FY26. CEO Adam Hall said the new centre enhances efficiency, expands capacity, and positions the Group for future growth.
Meridian Energy (MEL, #2) has appointed Kylie Reiri (Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Kahungunu, Rangitāne) as its next Future Director, effective from the 3rd of November. Reiri is currently Deputy Chief Executive at the Social Investment Agency and has held senior roles at PwC, Nicholson Consulting, and Impact Lab. Recognised with awards including NZ IT Professional of the Year 2021, she also serves on the Data Science and AI Board at Victoria University of Wellington. Chair Mark Verbiest said the Board was delighted to appoint someone with Reiri’s technology, leadership, and cultural expertise. The Future Director Programme provides governance experience in an observer capacity without voting rights.
Kiwi Property (KPG, #22) will release its interim results for the six months to the 30th of September on Monday the 24th of November.
