WHAT THE NZX 50 INDEX IS DOING
The index is currently down -1.1%, which leaves a gain of +1.2% over the past five sessions. Year-on-year it has gained +8.2%.
THE MAIN GAINERS
There were only 22 gainers in the first trading day of the week. The main gainers are Michael Hill (+2.9%), Vulcan Steel (+2.3%), Goodman Property (+1.0%), and Port of Tauranga (+1.0%).

There were 61 decliners, led by Ryman (-4.0%), Vista (-3.7%), Serko (-3.0%) and Genesis (-2.6%). Market heavyweight F&P Healthcare is down -1.2% so far today.

KEY ANNOUNCEMENTS
Synlait Milk said that it has entered into documentation to provide for certain amendments, waivers and extensions in relation to its syndicated bank facilities. They sought this extension following its recent half year performance update, and ahead of receiving the funds from the sale of its North Island assets, which remains on track for completion on 1 April 2026.
Michael Hill International reported a much better half year result built on rising sales in all its three main markets, and especially in Canada. It posted a half year NPATx profit of $22 mln, up from $17 mln in the same half year period a yeaar ago.
