KEY ANNOUNCEMENTS
SkyCity Entertainment Group (SKC, #37) has entered into a sale and purchase agreement to sell The Grand Hotel in Auckland to Eden Global Capital and Auckland City Collective for $221 mln. The transaction remains conditional on New Zealand Overseas Investment Office consent, with settlement expected in the second half of December 2026. SkyCity will continue operating the hotel under a transitional arrangement until 30 June 2027. The sale forms part of the company’s asset monetisation programme, with proceeds intended to reduce debt and strengthen its financial flexibility. SkyCity said the transaction would raise proceeds above its commitment to shareholders and help strengthen its balance sheet amid current market conditions.

Santana Minerals (SMI) has advanced preparations for its Bendigo-Ophir Gold Project in Central Otago, with its Fast-track Approvals process nearing a decision and a draft outcome expected in November or December 2026, ahead of a final decision scheduled for 20 January 2027. The company is targeting construction in early 2027, subject to approvals, financing and a final investment decision. Infill drilling at the Rise and Shine deposit returned high-grade gold results, including 24.4 metres at 10.9 grams per tonne and a 2-metre intercept at 89.5 grams per tonne, strengthening confidence in the planned early mining area. Santana has also launched a competitive process to secure project debt financing and progressed site infrastructure, including an operational exploration base and a commissioned water supply bore. The project has a 2.3 million-ounce indicated and inferred gold resource, while Santana ended the quarter with approximately A$180 mln in cash, or A$175 mln net of payables, to support further development work.
