Description of trading activities
Skycity Entertainment is a gambling and entertainment company in Auckland. It owns and operates five casinos in New Zealand and Australia. This includes restaurants, luxury hotels, convention centres and the Auckland Sky Tower.
CEO profile
Jason Walbridge has over 20 years of executive experience. Walbridge's role as Chief executive for SkyCity commenced in July 2024. Walbridge's most recent role was strategic advisor to Aristocrat as they were trying to acquire NeoGames. Walbridge has held roles at NYX Gaming Group, Light & Wonder, and was a consultant at Ernst and Young.
Chairman profile
Julian Cook was appointed the Chair of Skycity Entertainment in June 2021. This was effective from the 1st of January of 2022. He is also currently the Chair of the Board's People and Culture and Governance and Nominations Committees. Prior to this, Julian was the Chief Executive Officer of Summerset Group Holdings from 2014 to March 2021. Cook holds a Masters of Science, with First Class Honours from the University of Waikato, and a Masters of Finance from Victoria University of Wellington. In 2012, Cook completed a Key executives program at Harvard Business School.
