90 at 9: G8 ministers say worst is over; Talk of NZ$ intervention grows; Dairy farm median down 41%



Bernard Hickey details the key news overnight in 90 seconds at 9am, including news over the weekend that G8 Finance Ministers have declared the worst is over in the Global Financial Crisis, although they say it may be time to wind back the fiscal stimuli to the global economy. Meanwhile, the New Zealand dollar rose over 64 USc over the weekend and there is now talk the Reserve Bank may intervene to drag the currency lower to help exporters. The median dairy farm price has fallen 41% since October and the number of dairy farm sales has halved over the last year.
