haven't read the article - but we are a finance coy and our lending levels are up YOY. whats more we are seeing shite loads of bank defaults. so not sure where this article is going... apart from that banks have increased risk appetite. we are also seeing a lot of kiwis coming back from Oz with terrible credit scores ie so things haven't worked out as well as expected!
