Latest auction results: Bayleys gets 59% clearance rate at Auckland auctions

Bayleys put 29 properties in Auckland up for auction over the last week, of which 17 were sold and 12 were passed in, giving a clearance rate of 59%.

The most expensive sale of the week was a four bedroom house with a pool at Kohimarama that went for $3.4 million, and the cheapest was a two bedroom apartment with two car parks in the Scene One complex on Beach Rd in the CBD.

Although the apartment had a north facing balcony and excellent harbour views (see photo) it was on a leasehold title and sold for just $183,000.

A more traditional home for first home buyers was a three bedroom house on an 814 square metre section at Papakura that sold for $645,000.
