Fonterra has found its CEO replacement for Miles Hurrell from within its own ranks by appointing a lifer.

Richard Allen is moving up from his most recent role is President Global Ingredients, responsible for Fonterra’s Ingredients sales, optimisation, risk management, trading and global manufacturing.

He joined Fonterra as a graduate in 2008 and since then his career has spanned our global supply chain. He led the  farmer facing business Farm Source for five years, has worked in China as Vice President of our Foodservice business, was the founding CEO of MyMilk, and more recently served as President Atlantic based in Chicago.

He takes over on May 1, 2026. Hurrell is staying of for the transition until September 2026.
