WHAT THE NZX 50 INDEX IS DOING
The NZX50 is tracking towards a modest -0.1% decline today, after gaining +1.4% over the past five trading days. Over the past six months, the index has risen +9.4%, advancing +7.4% year-on-year.
THE MAIN GAINERS
There were 38 gainers on the market. The top performer was Air New Zealand (AIR, #21), up +3% today and +4% over the past five days. Over the last six months, Air New Zealand has gained +8%, and is up +14% year-on-year. Vista Group Limited (VGL, #40), Kathmandu Brands (KMD, #50), and Napier Port Holdings (NPH, #38) each rose +3%. Vista Group Limited has declined -6% over the past five days and is down -8% year-on-year. Kathmandu Brands has fallen -16% over the past six months and is down -37% annually. Napier Port Holdings, meanwhile, is up +6% for the month and has surged +55% year-on-year.

THE MAIN DECLINERS
There were 44 decliners on the board today. Goodman Property Trust (GMT, #15) posted the largest decline, down -2%. It has dropped -5% for the month but remains up +1% year-on-year. Infratil (IFT, #4), Summerset Group Holdings (SUM, #17), and Precinct Properties (PCT, #20) all fell -1%. Infratil is down -3% for the month and -4% year-on-year. Summerset Group Holdings has gained +6% for the month but is down -5% year-on-year. Precinct Properties has declined -9% for the month and is down -1% over the past year.

At Chorus (CNU, #13) Limited’s annual shareholders’ meeting held online, all four board-supported resolutions were passed by poll vote. Shareholders re-elected directors Sue Bailey, Will Irving, and Mark Cross, with approval rates of 99.93%, 98.11%, and 92.59% respectively. Additionally, the Board was authorised to fix the fees and expenses of KPMG as auditor, receiving 99.65% support.
