WHAT THE NZX 50 INDEX IS DOING
The index is currently looking at a -0.3% today, up +0.4% over the last five days. Year-on-year it's up +4.0%.
THE MAIN GAINERS
There were 30 gainers on the equity board today, the biggest growth coming from both Stride Property Group (SPG, #39) and Hallenstein Glassons (HLG, #44) both up +2%. Stride Property Group is down -2% month-on-month, gaining +4% year-on-year. Hallenstein Glassons has gained +15% over the last six months, up +18% year-on-year. Contact Energy (CEN, #5) and Vista Group Limited (VGL, #46) both gained +1%. Contact Energy gains +2% over the past five days and remains flat year-on-year. Vista Group is down a sharp -9% over the past five days, down -37% year-on-year.

THE MAIN DECLINERS
44 stocks declined with the biggest four drops for companies within the NZX50 index all the same at -2%. The four companies with -2% declines today were Briscoe Group (BGP, #30), Goodman Property Trust (GMT, #15), Tourism Holdings (THL, #43), and Kathmandu Brands (KMD, #50). Briscoe Group has declined by -3% over the last five days but gains +4% year-on-year. Goodman Property Trust is down -4% over the past six months, declining -7% year-on-year. Tourism Holdings gains a healthy +26% in the last six months, up +32% year-on-year. Whereas Kathmandu Brands declines -4% month-on-month, declining a heavy -36% year-on-year.

KEY ANNOUNCEMENTS
Vulcan Steel (VSL, #27) is set to release its 1H FY26 results at 9:00am NZDT on Tuesday the 24th of February.
The NZX (NZX, #45) will hold a teleconference on Thursday the 26th of February, where Chief Executive Mark Peterson and Chief Financial & Corporate Officer Graham Law will present the company’s 2025 annual financial and trading results for the period ended 31 December.
Heartland Group Holdings (HGH, #29) will release its financial results for the six months to 31 December on Thursday the 26th of February, followed by a live investor and analyst webcast at 10.30am NZDT on the same day.
Spark NZ (SPK, #12) will release its results for the six months to 31 December on Wednesday the 18th of February, with a webcast for investors and analysts to follow, hosted by Chief Executive Jolie Hodson and Chief Financial Officer Stewart Taylor.
