WHAT THE NZX 50 INDEX IS DOING
The NZX50 is set to close the final trading session of the week down -0.8%, as selling pressure outweighed advances across the market. Despite the decline, the index remains up +1.1% over the past five trading days, +0.7% over the past month, +3.0% over the past six months and +7.5% over the past year.
THE MAIN GAINERS
A total of 30 companies finished higher, with the biggest gains across the board the same starting with Tourism Holdings (THL, #40), which gained +2% to extend its five-day rise to +3%. While the stock is down -1% over the past month, it has climbed +19% over six months and +37% over the past year. Vulcan Steel (VSL, #31) also added +2%, lifting its weekly gain to +7% and monthly performance to +13%, although it remains -14% lower over six months while sitting +2% higher year-on-year. Serko (SKO, #49) rose +1%, capping off a strong week with a +14% five-day gain and +16% increase over the past month, though the stock is still down -35% over six months and -40% over the year. Vista Group (VGL, #43) edged up +1%, taking its one-month gain to +7% while remaining +38% higher over six months, despite still being -25% below its level a year ago.

THE MAIN DECLINERS
There were 49 decliners across the market, with Oceania Healthcare (OCA, #44) falling -2%, despite remaining up +7% over the past five days, +11% over the past month and +19% over the past year, while sitting -2% lower over six months. Air New Zealand (AIR, #24) also lost -2%, leaving the airline down -5% over the past month, -28% over six months and -28% over the past year. Auckland International Airport (AIA, #4) slipped -2%, although it remains +3% higher over five days, +1% over the past month, +4% over six months and +17% over the year. a2 Milk (ATM, #8) dropped -2%, extending its one-month decline to -10% and six-month loss to -16%, leaving the stock down -4% over the past 12 months.

KEY ANNOUNCEMENTS
Chorus (CNU, #12) advised that the New Zealand Government, through the Minister of Finance and Minister of Infrastructure, has provided an update on the sale process for Ultra-Fast Broadband (UFB) funding securities held by National Infrastructure Funding and Financing Limited (NIFF). Chorus said it is monitoring the process and noted the announcement relates to the Government's proposed sale of the securities.
