BNZ last big bank to apply for guarantee

The Bank of New Zealand has told interest.co.nz that it welcomes the new deposit guarantee scheme and will be submitting their application to the Reserve Bank as soon as possible. The BNZ is the last of New Zealand's five main banks to say that it will apply for the new scheme that was announced by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand and the Treasury on Sunday.
