Most of the action was outside of Auckland at last week's Harcourts auctions

The price of homes auctioned by Harcourts last week ranged from $175,000 for a property in Mt Maunganui to $1.605 million for one at Merivale in Christchurch.

In Auckland prices started at $585,000 for a three bedroom house on a 1083 square metre section at Tuakau in south Auckland, to $1.5 million for an executive home in Pukekohe.

In Wellington homes were selling in the mid-$400,000s and in Christchurch earthquake damaged homes offered on an "as is" basis continue to attract buyers at auction.
