
A renovated bungalow in the central Auckland suburb of Balmoral which sold for $2.12 million was the most expensive property sold at auction last week by Harcourts.
The 204 square metre house (pictured at right) on a 534 square metre section had four bedrooms and two bathrooms and had been fully renovated about three years ago.
It had a current rating valuation of $1.33 million and is zoned for Mount Albert Grammar School and Epsom Girls Grammar School.
The cheapest Auckland property auctioned by Harcourts last week was a three bedroom townhouse in Avondale that sold for $579,000.
In Harcourts auction rooms around the rest of the country, prices started at $290,000 in Taupo, $345,000 in Tauranga, $123,000 for a home unit in Hastings $337,5000 in Wellington and $233,500 in Christchurch.
