ASB September quarter profit rises $27 mln to $204 mln with income growth well ahead of expense growth

ASB recorded a 15% rise in unaudited net profit after tax for the three months to September 30 as growth in income easily outpaced growth of expenses.
The bank's latest General Disclosure Statement shows net profit after tax up $27 million, or 15%, to $204 million in the September quarter from $177 million in the same period of the previous year.
