Westpac chief product officer sees strong outlook for PayTag even once mobile wallets are up and running

A recent trip to Turkey has convinced Westpac NZ's chief product officer Shane Howell demand is likely to be strong for the bank's PayTag contactless payments stickers even once full blown mobile wallets are up and running.

Westpac yesterday said it was pushing ahead with a full commercial launch of PayTag, a contactless payment system via a sticker that attaches to mobile phones. (See more on this here).
